Fairview Township Police are warning residents to lock their cars after more than two dozen thefts from vehicles were reported in a two-week period.

Police say the reports were received on Woodburne Road, the Fairview Park development and on Old Quaker Road. All reports have involved cars that were unlocked at the time of the thefts, according to police.

People have lost from a couple of dollars to more than $1,000 in personal property.

Police are asking residents to lock their cars and to avoid keeping valuables inside them, especially when the valuables are  visible from the outside.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call Fairview Township Police at (717) 901-5267.
