York City man charged in third Baltimore killing

  • A York City man has been charged with a third killing in Baltimore.
  • He was previously charged with two separate killings there.

A York City man charged with two killings in Baltimore has been charged with another killing, according to Baltimore Police.

Dennis Tyree John Diggs, 18, of 726 W. Princess St., is charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as various assault charges and handgun violations, Baltimore Police said in a Facebook post Friday.

Diggs is charged in relation to the Oct. 2 death of Jackson Bleier, according to police. Bleier was shot and killed in the 600 block of Yale Avenue, Baltimore Police said.

Homicide detectives identified Diggs as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. The warrant was served Thursday at central booking in Baltimore while he was being held on the other murder charges, police said.

Other allegations: Diggs fatally shot Jarrell Hicks in the 3300 block of Caton Avenue on March 24, 2015, court documents allege.

Witnesses told police they saw Diggs shoot Hicks, according to documents.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Diggs also is accused in the Oct. 24 homicide of Jamie Christian, which happened inside a convenience store at 3300 W. Baltimore St., according to court records.

Baltimore Police allege Diggs conspired with a man named Steven Milhouse to kill Christian.

Documents allege Diggs opened the door to the Sunoco gas station store about 9 p.m. that night and let the gun-wielding Milhouse walk inside.

Victim fell: Milhouse started firing at Christian, who tried to run but slipped and fell, police said.

Milhouse then stood over Christian and fired more shots at him as the victim lay on the floor, documents allege.

"While the victim is being shot and killed, (Diggs) holds the door open and allows the other patrons of the store to exit, while acting as a lookout," according to documents.

Diggs and Milhouse were identified as the alleged killers through witnesses and video surveillance footage, documents state.

Co-defendant arrested: Police said Milhouse also was arrested.

Both men are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and a number of related offenses, according to court records.
