Giant Food Stores announced Thursday that following a recall from Delizza Inc., some Simply Enjoy desserts will be removed from shelves.

The following products are included in the recall because of potential salmonella contamination:

• Simply Enjoy Dark Chocolate Topped Mini Eclairs, 30 count, with a UPC of 688267124112. The lot code is L1K3616, L1L3616 or L1M3616, and the best by dates are either March 1, 2018, or March 2, 2018.

• Simply Enjoy Milk Chocolate Dipped Creme Puffs, 30 count, UPC 688267124105. The lot code is L1J4016 or L1K4016 , and the best by date is March 29, 2018.

There have been no reports of illness, according to a release from Giant. Salmonella infections cane be life-threatening, specifically to those with weak immune systems, such as infants, elderly people or those with HIV infection or undergoing chemotherapy, the release states.

The most common symptoms are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within  72 hours, the release states.

Those who purchased the products are asked to discard any remaining food and bring their receipt to Giant for a full refund. Anyone seeking additional information may call Delizza, Inc, at (252) 442-4016, or Giant at (888) 814-4268, according to the release.
