Ronald Troutman, of the 300 block of Davis Road, reportedly had been cutting trees and chopping wood in a wooded area near his property while his wife was away Tuesday, the coroner's report states.

When his wife returned, she noted that he was not home, and family members found him lying under tree branches about 9:20 p.m., according to the report.

Police were called to the scene about 9:30 p.m. and were treating the location as a crime scene, according to 911 dispatches.

The coroner has ruled Troutman's death accidental by way of blunt-force head trauma, and there will be no autopsy, the report shows.
