Peach Bottom fire sends 5 to the hospital
Five people were sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a two-alarm fire Saturday morning in Peach Bottom Township, according to the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire was called in shortly before 7 a.m. in the 2800 block of Bryansville Road, Peach Bottom Township, according to York County 911. Fire officials arrived at the mobile home and saw fire in the front and left sides of the home, which caused them to request a second alarm.
The department said in a Facebook post that the fire was knocked down quickly, and crews stayed for about 90 minutes to perform overhaul operations.
Five other departments in the region, including some from Maryland, helped fight the fire. Peach Bottom Township is located along the border between Pennsylvania and Maryland.
A phone message left with the department requesting additional information on the fire was not returned.
