Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of committing four store robberies, including three at York-area Wal-Marts.

The man struck most recently  Monday morning at the West Manchester Township Wal-Mart at 1000 Town Center Drive, which is the old West Manchester Mall.

At 9:13 a.m., the man approached the store's customer-service counter, threatened to have a gun and demanded cash, according to township Detective Sean Conway, who is investigating.

The robber didn't display a firearm, and no one was hurt, police said.

He's described as being in his mid-to-late-40s, 5-feet-8 or 5-feet-9, about 225 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a gray full-zip hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored knit beanie-style hat.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled in a two-tone maroon-over-gray Hyundai Santa Fe, which he'd left parked in the store's fire lane, according to Conway.

The Santa Fe has a black roof rack or rails and a large dent just above the right front wheel well, and it is likely a 2000 to 2006 model, he said. It had some sort of emblem on the lower left side of the tailgate, possibly an Apple Automotive logo, police said.

The same man robbed the Wal-Mart in Springettsbury Township on July 18 and the West Manchester Wal-Mart on Nov. 15, according to Conway, who said Monday's robber has been positively identified as being behind the other two Wal-Mart robberies.

He also robbed the Turkey Hill Minit Market at 742 Roosevelt Ave. in York City on Sunday, Conway said.

Anyone with information about the robber's identity is asked to call Conway at 717-792-9514.
