York City Police are looking for a "scruffy" man who robbed a Roosevelt Avenue convenience store Sunday morning.

According to Lt. Troy Bankert, the man walked into the Turkey Hill Minit Market at 742 Roosevelt Ave. about 8:20 a.m. and demanded cash.

The robber claimed to have a gun but never displayed one, the lieutenant said.

He fled the store after getting an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Bankert.

No one was hurt, he said.

The robber is described as a scruffy, unkempt man between 40 and 50 years old, Bankert said.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the robber's identity can call York City Police at (717) 846-1234. Or anonymously text "Yorktips" and your information to 847-411.
