A Jackson Township man escaped injury Sunday night when he was carjacked in York City by two men who claimed to have a gun, according to police.

It happened at the corner of East King and Hartman streets about 8:40 p.m. Sunday, according to Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the York City detective bureau.

Ryan Zorbaugh, 21, was in a gray 2004 Cadillac sedan when he was approached by two males, the lieutenant said.

The males, in their late teens or early 20s, told Zorbaugh they had a gun and robbed him of his car, according to Bankert.

The car was still missing as of Monday afternoon, he said.

Anyone with information about the carjacking can call York City Police at (717) 846-1234. Or anonymously text "Yorktips" and your information to 847-411.
