A Manchester man escaped injury Sunday night when he was carjacked at gunpoint in York City, police said.

Police said it happened about 10:45 p.m. in the 600 block of East Market Street, according to York City Police Lt. Troy Bankert.

Michael Bosserman, 22, had been parked in the block and was leaving when two males approached the rental car he was driving and opened the car door, Bankert said.

One of the robbers pointed a gun at Bosserman, and the robbers stole his cash, credit cards and the rental car, which is a black Ford Fiesta, according to Bankert.

The car was still missing as of Monday morning, he said.
