Outback Steakhouse reopens in West Manchester Wednesday
- Outback Steakhouse is relocating from East Market Street to West Manchester Township.
- The restaurant will open to the public after a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday.
Outback Steakhouse, which closed its East Market Street location will soon reopen at the West Manchester Town Center.
The restaurant will start taking guests' orders Wednesday after a 4 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, which members of the York County Chamber of Commerce will preside over, according a news release from Outback Steakhouse.
Outback Steakhouse will donate a portion of its opening-day proceeds to Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams Counties, the company said.
At 6,497 square feet, the West Manchester Township restaurant will be able to seat about 275 guests and will employ 30 people, many of whom worked at the previous location in Springettsbury Township, according to the company.
“After serving the community for the past 14 years, we wanted to give our guests an upgrade,” said Elizabeth Watts, director of media and community relations for Bloomin’ Brands. “We’re committed to maintaining a contemporary atmosphere, and we are excited to share our updated look, inside and out.”
