Giant recalls select 'Back to Nature' products

Giant Food Stores has announced another food recall Friday. Certain Back to Nature products might have milk in them, which is not listed on the ingredient labels, according to a release from the store.

The following products are included in the recall:

• Back to Nature Chocolate Delight Granola, 11 oz, UPC 81989801201, with best by dates between Dec. 25, 2016, and July 27, 2017.

• Back to nature Chocolate Chunk Cookies, 9.5 oz, UPC 81989801100, with best by dates between May 8, 2017, and May 12, 2017.

• Back to Nature Mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies, 7.5 oz., UPC 81989801114, with a best by date of May 1. 2017.

The food is safe to eat for those who are not allergic to milk.

The company has not received any illnesses to date, the release states. People with milk allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the products, according to the release.

Symptoms for allergies appear within minutes to potentially two hours, and reactions can include hives; flushed skin; tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth, face, tongue, or lip swelling; vomiting and/or diarrhea; abdominal cramps; coughing or wheezing; dizziness and/or lightheadedness; throat or vocal chord swelling; difficulty breathing or loss of consciousness, the release states.

Anyone who purchased the products may bring their receipt to Giant for a refund.
