A York Township man free on bail after being charged in August by the state attorney general's office for allegedly trying to solicit sex from someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl is now accused of raping a little girl.

Jeremy N. Pressel, 29, of 2409 Joppa Road, was denied bail on his new charges by District Judge David Eshbach, who cited the safety of the community, according to court records. Eshbach arraigned the man Thursday, court records state.

Pressel is charged with the felonies of child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault of a child younger than 13 and corruption of a minor.

According to charging documents filed Wednesday by Northern York County Regional Police, Pressel raped a 6-year-old girl beginning in 2015.

He would play games with the girl, including "Finding Nemo," during which he would put his penis in the girl's mouth, documents allege.

Pressel also molested the girl in other ways, according to documents.

He would then buy the girl dolls and other presents and told her not to tell anyone about what happened between them, police allege.

Initial allegations: Pressel was charged in August with unlawful contact with a minor, attempted statutory sexual assault and using a computer to commit a crime. Charges were filed by agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office child-predator unit.

An agent posed online as a 13-year-old girl in an effort to find child molesters, and Pressel began sending him sexually explicit messages, according to a news release from the AG's office.

He then tried to arrange to meet for sex, but when he got to the meeting place he was arrested, according to the release.

He was free on $25,000 bail on the AG's office charges when Northern Regional Police filed the child-rape charges against him, records state.

Attorney Jack Graybill II represents Pressel in the first case but has not yet been retained on the second case, he said. The attorney declined immediate comment, saying he first needs to speak with his client.
