Police say a Newberry Township man who was visiting a York College dorm overnight on Friday into Saturday went into the rooms of several sleeping girls he didn't know, rubbed their legs and began masturbating.

Jacqueze Ajene Marguari McBride, 20, of 5 Sarah Drive, is charged with indecent exposure, which is a second-degree misdemeanor, and three summary counts of disorderly conduct, according to a criminal complaint filed Saturday by Spring Garden Township Police.

Police say that about 6 a.m. Saturday, he slipped into a sleeping female student's room in the Manor North dorm building, climbed into bed with her and touched her leg. She woke up, according to charging documents, and pushed him out of bed, telling him to leave.

He then went into another room and climbed into an empty bed, according to police. A female student sleeping in the other bed in that room jumped up and turned on the light, so McBride ran out of the room, documents state.

McBride, clad only in his underwear, then went into a third room, police say. There, he began to get into a third bed, where the female student in that bed saw that he had his genitals exposed and was masturbating as he began to climb in, according to police.

She yelled at him, so he went over to the other bed in the room and said "Thanks, dude," before leaving, police say.

That's when someone called campus police, who detained McBride until Spring Garden Township Police showed up, according to York College spokeswoman Mary Dolheimer. She said that McBride was invited into the dorm by a female student who now "very likely" will face disciplinary consequences from the school.

No guests are allowed in the dorms during overnight hours, Dolheimer said, and students who break that policy can face punishment, especially when the people they invite misbehave.

"They are responsible for guests who enter the residence halls," she said.

She said that McBride is now a "persona non grata" in the college dorms.

"He will be charged with trespass should he enter again," she said.

Spring Garden Township Police Chief George Swartz said Wednesday that it's possible that McBride might end up being charged with burglary, a felony, for this incident. The legal definition of burglary is when someone illegally enters an occupied building or part of a building with the intent to commit a crime of some sort. Though McBride was allowed in the dorm building in general because a resident invited him, McBride likely was not permitted to be in the rooms of the people he didn't know, according to Swartz.

"Looking into this case a little further, those charges may be included with what he’s currently charged with," the chief said.

McBride is free on $25,000 monetary bail, according to York County Prison records.
