A man wearing a ski mask and dark clothing walked into the shop, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money, police said.

When the employee refused to hand over any cash, the thwarted robber fired a round into the ceiling of the Subway, then fled the store, according to police.

Anyone with information about the failed stickup is asked to call Spring Garden Township Police at (717) 843-0851 or email police@sgtpd.org.
