EPHRATA — Police say a 6-year-old boy was flown from a farm in central Pennsylvania to a hospital after he became pinned between the frame and bed of a dump truck.

Police say a family member raised the bed to dump feed for cows Friday evening in Ephrata, about 40 miles east of Harrisburg. The boy’s neck became trapped when he then tried to lower it.

Police say the family member found the boy after the bed wouldn’t go down completely.

Police say the boy was flown unconscious to a trauma unit.

His condition is not known.
