Victim ID'd in Springfield Twp. crash

A Shrewsbury man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, according to a release from the York County Coroner's Office.

James Rosier, 66, of 571 E. Tolna Road, was driving his car south on Susquehanna Trail about 4 p.m. when he lost control near 10090 Susquehanna Trail South in Springfield Township, the release states. Rosier's car reportedly ran off the road and hit a pole and a tree.

He was ejected from the car, according to Coroner Pam Gay.

Rosier was not wearing a seat belt, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. He might have had a medical event before the crash, the release states.

Multiple blunt-force trauma is Rosier's cause of death, with the manner accidental, according to the release. There will not be an autopsy.

State police are investigating the crash.
