A search warrant carried out by the York City Police Department's Nuisance Abatement Unit Friday resulted in the recovery of heroin packaging materials, a small amount of marijuana and five handguns, according to a news release.

Two of the firearms recovered were reported stolen, the release stated.

Police searched the home at 202 Pattison St. in York City on Friday and charged six people in the residence, four adults and two juveniles, with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and two counts each of receiving stolen property.

Those arrested were Austin Barnes, 18; Esmerelda Fernandez, 18; Khafre Johnson, 23; Davonte Perez, 19; and two 17-year-old males, according to the release.

Barnes, Johnson and Perez also were charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and the two juveniles each were charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, the release stated.

The recovered firearms include a .45-caliber Colt 1911, a Smith & Wesson 9 mm, an Ultra Star 9 mm, an Accu-Tek .380 and a Baikal 9 mm. The Colt and the Smith & Wesson were both listed as stolen.

The U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the York City Narcotics Unit assisted with the execution of the search warrant, the release stated.
