Police: Man shot in York City on Sunday uncooperative
- York City Police say a 23-year-old man shot in the leg in York City on Sunday is not cooperating with the investigation.
- Nathaniel Rodriguez, of York City, was found shot in the leg near the intersection of Hartley and West Philadelphia streets, police said.
York City Police continue to investigate a nonlife-threatening shooting in the city Sunday night, despite the victim's unwillingness to provide any information.
Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the city's detective bureau, confirmed Monday that Nathaniel Rodriguez, 23, of York City, was found shot in the leg at 7:34 p.m. after a report of a person shot near Hartley and West Philadelphia streets Sunday.
Rodriguez was taken to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment but did not offer any information to police about the shooting. It remains unknown who shot Rodriguez or why.
"He is still not cooperative," Bankert said.
York Hospital spokesman Dan Carrigan said Monday the hospital had no information about any patient matching the victim's name.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the York City Police Department at 717-846-1234, or call Crime Stoppers at 877-TIPS. Information leading to an arrest and conviction is eligible for a cash reward.
