Roadwork will cause lane restrictions on Interstate 83 this week, according to the state Department of Transportation.

First, on Tuesday, work will close one of the highway's southbound lanes between the Loganville and Glen Rock exits, which are exits 10 and 8 respectively. This work will occur between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to the news release from PennDOT.

Then on Wednesday, crews will be working in the right lane of I-83's northbound lanes between Exit 4, which is for Shrewsbury, and the Glen Rock exit, according to the news release. That work will also take place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

This work schedule might be affected by weather, according to the release. Drivers in these areas are asked to be alert, obey work-zone signs and slow down, PennDOT said.
