Officials: 2 tubers pulled from Susquehanna River
LANCASTER — Authorities say two tubers had to be rescued from a Pennsylvania river over the weekend.
Officials say a man tubing with a group of people on the Susquehanna River in West Hempfield Township was reportedly having difficulty breathing on the river around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Emergency dispatchers tell LNP that firefighters secured the man by boat just after 6 p.m. Rescuers say the man was responsive and a bit overheated.
A second person was also fatigued and was secured by 6:30 p.m. Dispatchers say he didn’t require medical attention.
