Pennsylvanians can now purchase their wine, spirits and lottery tickets under one roof thanks to state law Act 39 going into effect this week.

Yorkers need only swing by the West Manchester Town Center to the new Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection Store at 880 Town Center Drive on Wednesday for a glimpse at what the new location has to offer, from top wines and liquors to a Pennsylvania State Lottery station.

A wine retail specialist will be on hand for a wine tasting at Wednesday's grand opening. The wine expert will be a permanent fixture at the store, working from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. five days a week, including weekends. Weekly wine tastings and special events will be offered at the new store's tasting bar.

Fine Wine and Good Spirits spokeswoman Liz Brassell said the newly adapted state laws and an expiring lease culminated in the company's opportunity to expand and rebrand itself, hence the move for the York location from its previous White Street store to a larger, more inviting location in the outdoor mall near the At Home store.

"In York, this was an opportunity to turn a standard store into a premium store," Brassell said.

The new building offers a much more sophisticated, warm and inviting location for customers, she said. The law change also allows for Fine Wine and Good Spirits locations statewide to sell lottery tickets, an added draw for local consumers.

The store is allowed to expand its hours under the new law and will remain open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.on Sundays.
