Police: York City woman attacked boyfriend with knife

A York City woman is facing charges for allegedly attacking her live-in boyfriend with a box cutter and a cigarette roller in their home last week.

Jaime Renelle Brenneman, 36, of 326 S. Penn St., Apt. 2, will be charged with aggravated assault and simple assault when she is arraigned, according to the office of District Judge Joel Toluba.

That had not happened as of Monday, according to court records.

York City Police allege she attacked and injured Alan Dick. His injuries weren't life-threatening, according to Lt. Troy Bankert.

The allegations: Charging documents filed by city Officer Vincent Monte state officers met Dick about 11:20 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Jessop Place and West Maple Street.

He had a golf ball-sized bruise and a cut on his right cheek, as well as cuts to his upper lip, right forearm and back, documents state. Dick also had fresh hand marks on his neck and small cuts on his neck, according to documents.

Dick told Monte that he was assaulted by Brenneman inside their home and that Brenneman struck the side of his face with a cigarette roller, documents state.

Brenneman then grabbed a box cutter-style razor, held it against Dick's neck and threatened to slice his throat, documents allege.

As Dick tried to run out of the house, Brenneman slashed his back with the box cutter, according to charging documents.

Brenneman could not be reached for comment. It's unclear whether she has retained an attorney.
