Jackknifed truck closed I-83 for hours near Loganville exit

A jackknifed tractor-trailer stopped southbound traffic on Interstate 83 in southern York County for about 3½ hours Monday night, police said.

The rig crashed just after 6:15 p.m. near the Loganville interchange (Exit 10) and went off the road, according to Red Lion Fire Co.'s call log.

State police said the crash closed both southbound lanes.

The tractor-trailer driver escaped injury, police said.

The southbound lanes reopened to traffic about 11:50 p.m., according to police.
