Newberry Township police are searching for a Harrisburg man who they say raped a teenage autistic girl in her Newberry Township home in November.

Xavier Joel Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 27, with a last known address of 127 Sylvan Terrace, Harrisburg, faces charges of rape of a mentally disabled person, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person with a mental disability, and corruption of minors, according to charging documents.

At the end of November, the girl spoke with police, saying the assault had happened on the morning of Nov. 15, documents state.

She told police she was watching a movie in the basement of her home with Rodriguez-Gonzalez, who was a friend of a family member, police said. The family member was not there at the time, according to charging documents.

According to police, the two were sitting on a sofa bed, when Rodriguez-Gonzalez began to tickle her.

After that, he unzipped his pants, pulled her shorts down, and had sex with her, police said.

Attempts by police to reach Rodriguez-Gonzalez have not proven successful, according to documents.

Rodriguez-Gonzalez did not return calls, and an address search showed no new address, according to police. Additionally, Rodriguez-Gonzalez worked at barbershop, but when called the manager told police Rodriguez-Gonzalez did not work there anymore.
