Shooting reported in York City

A shooting was reported in York City at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday evening.

According to York County 911, the person who was shot drove themselves to the hospital.

York City Police officers were seen investigating on Bruce Avenue, an alley between Lincoln Avenue and Linden Avenue. Police had blocked off a section in the middle of the street to investigate until about 5:30 p.m. Police had left the scene by 5:45.

A neighbor, who did not wish to give his name, said he heard about six shots go off.

A sergeant on the scene declined to give any details, saying more information would be released later. As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, no information has been released.
