Police: York City man accidentally shoots friend in car
A York City man was shot in the leg Friday night by his friend as the two sat inside a car in the 500 block of South Queen Street, according to police.
Alexander Rivera-Rivera, 20, of Oatman Street, suffered a gunshot wound to his lower left leg, according to York City Police Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the city detective bureau.
It happened shortly before 11 p.m. when Christopher Cruz-Ortiz, 21, of West King Street, cleared his gun while sitting in a vehicle, Bankert said.
The gun accidentally discharged, and Rivera-Rivera was struck, the lieutenant said.
