Giant Food Stores announced another recall Sunday, this time of the Krusteaz brand blueberry pancake mix.

The grocer has removed the Continental Mills product from its shelves because of possible contamination with E. coli 0121. The recall applies to the 28-ounce packages of the mix with sell-by dates that fall between March 30 and June 16, 2018.

According to a Giant news release, E. coli 0121 is a potentially deadly bacterium particularly dangerous to the young, the elderly and those with a compromised immune system.

Anyone who has already purchased this product is encouraged to discard the mix immediately. Giant will refund the purchase with a receipt, the news release said.

For more information regarding the recall, contact Continental Mills at 1-800-457-7744 or call Giant/Martin's at 1-888-814-4268. Information also can be obtained by visiting the company website at www.giantfoodstores.com.
