The grocer has removed the Continental Mills product from its shelves because of possible contamination with E. coli 0121. The recall applies to the 28-ounce packages of the mix with sell-by dates that fall between March 30 and June 16, 2018.

According to a Giant news release, E. coli 0121 is a potentially deadly bacterium particularly dangerous to the young, the elderly and those with a compromised immune system.

Anyone who has already purchased this product is encouraged to discard the mix immediately. Giant will refund the purchase with a receipt, the news release said.
