Police: Lancaster man shot in York City will survive
A Lancaster City man shot in the back of the head with a shotgun Wednesday night in York City is expected to survive, police said.
Clarence Landrau, 46, of Princess Street, did not get hit with a direct shot, according to Lt. Troy Bankert, who supervises York City's detective bureau.
The shotgun used to shoot Landrau was loaded with pellets, Bankert said.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Front Street, according to Bankert.
Landrau was conscious when officers arrived and was taken to York Hospital, police said.
"He's going to be OK," Bankert said.
Landrau's condition could not be obtained from York Hospital on Thursday.
Family dispute: The shooting was the result of an earlier ongoing family disagreement, according to Bankert.
The person who shot Landrau has not yet been arrested, but Bankert predicted that will just be a matter of time.
"We feel confident an arrest will be made very soon," the lieutenant said.
Bankert said he's unsure if the suspect — whose name has not yet been released — is related to Landrau.
