Bridge pavement and expansion joint repair work will affect motorists near Harrisburg this weekend, according to a release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

This weekend, the ramp from northbound Interstate 283 to northbound Interstate 83 within the Eisenhower Interchange will be closed to traffic starting at 9 p.m. Friday and continuing until no later than 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers will be detoured from northbound I-283 to eastbound Route 322 to the Penhar Interchange, and then directed back westbound Route 322 through the interchange to northbound I-83.

Repairs will stop during the holiday weekend and then resume on the weekend of July 8 through 11, when northbound I-83 through the interchange is scheduled to be closed, according to PennDOT.
