WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Police in central Pennsylvania say a masked and armed man trying to rob a pharmacy was shot by an employee.
Police in Waynesboro say the man walked into Antietam Pharmacy just after 5 p.m. Monday. They say he threatened employees and demanded money and drugs.
Waynesboro Police Chief James Sourbier tells WPMT-TV the employee told police he feared for his life, so he drew his personal handgun and fired several rounds. The would-be robber was hit several times.
The suspect was flown to York Hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately available.
No one else was injured.
