Police: York City man 'bounced' victim's head off car
Police say a York City man placed a woman in a headlock and "bounced" her head off of a parked car.
Dexter Alex Reeser, 26, of 432 St. Paul St., is charged with aggravated assault, according to charging documents.
Around 7 a.m. on June 9, York City Police were sent to the area of Park Place and St. Paul Street. While there, a witness told them Reeser had assaulted a woman, documents state.
The witness told police Reeser grabbed the victim's head in a headlock and "bounced" it off of a parked car, documents state. The witness told police Reeser slapped the back of her head, grabbed her hair, and "bounced" her head off the car again, police said. According to police, witnesses saw Reeser punch her in the kidney area a few days earlier, documents state.
The assault allegedly took place in front of Reeser's home.
When police went in, Reeser and the victim were on the second floor, and the victim had a visible laceration on her face, documents state. Reeser was then taken into custody. Police say he had no visible injuries on him.
The victim told police that she and Reeser had an argument, and Reeser had head-butted her twice, police said. She also told police Reeser had previously assaulted her, saying Reeser punched her on the right side of her back and struck her with a belt, documents state.
She showed police a large contusion to the left side of her upper back and a welt with bruising on her left side, which she said was caused by the belt, police said. She refused to be taken to the hospital, police said.
Reeser remains in York County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail. He also had his bail revoked from a previous DUI charge, a prison official confirmed.
