York City summer movie series starts up

The York City Summer Movie Series at Kiwanis Lake Park is back for another year.

"Minions" Is the first movie in York City's family-friendly movie series, which begins June 15 at Kiwanis Lake Park.

The family-friendly movie series will start around 8:30 p.m. for the next seven Wednesdays, according to a release from the city's bureau of parks and recreation.

The release suggests that people attending bring lawn chairs or blankets.

The schedule is as follows: "Minions" on June 15, "Hotel Transylvania 2" on June 22, "Jurassic World" on June 29, "The Good Dinosaur" on July 6, "The SpongeBob Movie" on July 13, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on July 20 and "Norm of the North" on July 27.

If there's inclement weather on the day a movie is scheduled to screen, it'll be shown at the same place and time the next day.
