Wreck stalls rush hour traffic on I-83

Both lanes of traffic on I-83 North came to a halt Thursday afternoon after a wreck near the West Market Street exit forced first responders to shut down the highway.

A man known as “Philly Jesus” was arrested at a Philadelphia Apple store on trespassing charges.

York County 911 confirmed police, fire and rescue crews responded to an overturned vehicle with a report of injuries around 5:30 p.m. Two people were transported by EMS with unknown injuries.

Traffic slowed for more than an hour during the evening commute, but the wreck has since been cleared and both lanes are now moving.
