People wishing to register their kids for York City's Summer Playground Program day camp have to come to City Hall on one of four evenings next month to do so.

Parents must register in person at York City Hall, 101 S. George St., between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, June 13 to 16, according to a news release from the city.

The program is a six-week camp with locations at Allen, Bantz, Lincoln, Memorial and Yorktown parks. Starting Monday, June 20, it runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday until the end of July.

Each location for the program has 40 slots for children ages 6 to 13, according to the release from the city's department of parks and recreation.

The program costs city residents $25 for one child, with each additional child in a household costing $20. For people who don't live in the city, one spot runs $55, with each additional child costing $50, according to the release.

There are field trips to go swimming on Tuesdays and roller skating on Wednesdays. Swimming costs an additional $1 per child, with roller skating costing $2.50, the release states.

Lunch is provided every day for no additional cost.
