York City installs new stop signs
York City has put in a couple of new stop signs, according to a release from the city.
The city's public works department has turned the intersection of South Duke Street and East Boundary Avenue into an all-way stop. Previously, there had only been a stop sign on East Boundary Avenue, a one-way street going east. Now, the also one-way South Duke Street will have a stop sign halting its northbound traffic.
The Crispus Attucks Community Center sits on the southeast corner of this intersection.
The intersection of Manor Street and West Cottage Place is now a four-way stop, the public works department said in the release.
Until now, there had been stop signs for traffic going each direction on West Cottage Place, but anyone driving on Manor Street could continue uninhibited.
The city asks that drivers keep these changes in mind when traveling through those areas.
