Front Porch Project planned for Monday

Yorkers will have an opportunity Monday to learn more about protecting their children.

The Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance will be hosting The Front Porch Project, a community gathering meant to empower parents to better protect their children, from 9 a.m. until noon Monday at the Dillsburg Brethren in Christ Church, 18 E. Harrisburg St., according to a release.

The event combines discussions, videos and activities to develop strategies to diffuse real-life situations involving potential harm to children, according to the release.

The Kid's Trust and Family Promise of the Harrisburg Capital Region will be co-sponsoring the event.
