All trash-collection services in York City will happen one day later during the week after Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 30; all trash, recycling and yard-waste collections that normally would happen that day will take place the next day, which is Tuesday, May 31, according to a news release from the city.

All services scheduled for that Tuesday will take place that Wednesday, and so on.

All Friday collection services will take place that Saturday, the release states.

City offices will be closed on Memorial Day, according to the release.

People with any specific questions can call the city's public works department at 849-2245.
