York Area Regional Police are looking something a little bigger than usual for a theft.

Police say a 40-foot trailer taken from a Windsor Township farm Tuesday morning. The Mayflower moving and storage trailer was taken from the 700 block of Burkholder Road. The owner told police the trailer sat there for 30 years.

Neighbors told police a woman and two men were working on the trailer Tuesday morning. They hooked the trailer up to a green truck and left.

“Yeah, it's pretty bold … to go on someone’s property and steal something as big as that is and haul it away,” said York Area Regional Police Sgt. Peter Montgomery.

The neighbors told police the three people were working on trailer for about two hours.

Montgomery said he did not know what type of truck was used to haul the trailer away.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call 911.
