Box Lunch Revue returns in York City

Starting Tuesday, people around York City will be able to sit out near Central Market some afternoons and listen to some free live music.

The Box Lunch Revue starts back up every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the block of Cherry Lane behind the market building starting this week, according to a news release from York City.

Tuesday, the Central York Middle & High School Jazz Bands will kick off the season. For the whole month, various York County school bands will play the Box Lunch Revue.

After that, the roster will include performers such as Soji, Mickey Spain, Haley and Dylan Richardson, Mylea Thompson, Strange Foke, Justin Angelo and Poorhouse Yard, according to the release.

The concert series is co-sponsored by Block Business Solutions and Wolf, with promotional support from MediaOnePA, WARM 103, 961.SOX, Newsradio 910 WSBA, WYCO Community Radio and ABC27 WHTM, the release states.
