Roadwork will close the 100 block of East Jackson Street in York City starting Wednesday.

Crews will repair sanitary sewer lines on that block, working between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. every weekday, according to a news release from York City's Department of Public Works.

The release doesn't give a timeline for the road's reopening but says the city and its contractor will work to keep the closure as short as possible.

This is the block of East Jackson Street between South Duke and Mackenzie streets.

The city says this will not interrupt any sewer services.

It does, however anticipate some traffic complications in the immediate area, so anyone driving around there should expect delays.

The work will at times close the surrounding intersections and parking lots, the city says.
