For the 140th year in a row, the York City Department of Fire/Rescue Services will hold a memorial service for members who have passed away.

The service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday at the St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church at 839 W. Market St., according to a news release from the fire department.

The event is open to the public.

The service will pay tribute to any current or former members of the department who died in 2015.

The Kiltie Band of York will provide a musical prelude beginning at 6:45 p.m., the release states.

Anyone looking for more information should call the department's administrative building at 854-3921.
