York City wants drivers to note a couple of events that will close roads on the last Saturday of the month.

Saturday, the first block of North Newberry Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. to both traffic and parking for a community fair promoting healthy choices for youth, according to a news release from the city.

On that same day, the city schools' annual Education First Parade and Rally will travel from Small's Athletic Field on Hamilton Avenue down George Street to College Avenue, where it will turn and head to Penn Park. The parade and ensuing rally will run from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., with temporary road closures between 11 a.m. and noon, according to the release.

Lafayette Street and Lindberg Avenue around Penn Park will be closed to traffic and parking from noon until 8 p.m., the release states.
