York City asks that drivers take care around a couple of events coming to the city Saturday, April 23, according to news released from the city.

The eighth annual Go Green in the City festival will take place on the first blocks of North Pershing and North Beaver streets and the block of West Clarke Avenue, which runs between them, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The first blocks of North Beaver Street and North Pershing Avenue will be closed to drivers from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. that day, the release states, with those blocks also closed to parking for an additional hour before that. West Clarke Avenue between those two streets will also be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the release.

Also that day, the Child Abuse Prevention Outreach Committee will hold its annual walk to raise awareness for child abuse, the release states. The event will take place at Penn Park from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.; social service groups will have information tables set up in the area, according to the release. The release doesn't cite any road closures but encourages drivers in the area to take care.
