Police seek West York armed robbers

West York Police seek a pair of men who robbed a Mexican store in the borough at gunpoint Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

Police say the pair entered El Sol at 1628 W. Market St. through the back around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

One of the men brandished a long gun at the employees while the other one demanded money, according to police.

The robbers then fled the scene and were last seen in the 1600 block of Mason Avenue, running toward South Sumner Street, police say.

Police say these two men robbed the El Sol Mexican store in the 1600 block of West Market Street in West York.

The suspects both were described as black men in their 20s. One was wearing light-colored jeans, a black sweatshirt, tan boots, a Yankees cap and gloves.

The other man was also clad in light-colored jeans, as well as a baseball cap, gloves and an Under Armour hoodie possibly with a neon green logo on the front and hood, the release states.

The second man was the one with the gun, police say.

No employees were hurt during the incident, according to police.

Police say these two men robbed the El Sol Mexican store in the 1600 block of West Market Street in West York.

Police say the pair are considered armed and dangerous.
