Police seek Springettsbury Twp. bank robber

Springettsbury Township Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man who robbed a bank earlier this month.

Police say this man robbed a Springettsbury Township bank Saturday, March 5.

Police say a man walked into the New Cumberland Federal Credit Union branch at 200 Memory Lane in the township at 8:46 a.m. Saturday, March 5, and demanded money.

He didn't pass a note or display any weapon, police say. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled, according to police.

Police describe the robber as a black man between 35 and 50 years old, about 5-feet-6 to 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 to 200 pounds. They say he was wearing a dark blue jacket with light blue fleece on the inside collar and the word "Sun" in white cursive lettering on the back. He also had on white sneakers and black sweatpants, police say.

Police say he had a red cloth covering his face when he robbed the bank.
