York City Police investigate attempted bank robbery

York City Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Wells Fargo bank that occurred Tuesday morning, according to a news release.

Police say the robber attempted to get money from the bank at 12 E. Market St. but was unsuccessful and left with nothing.

The man shown in surveillance photos is wearing a Redskins baseball cap and sunglasses, as well as a scarf around his head.

Police say a man went into the Wells Fargo bank at 12 E. Market St. in the city and attempted to get money but left with nothing.

No weapons were displayed during the attempt.

The man was seen at a Spring Grove bank about an hour earlier, according to police.
