Police say a naked 24-year-old York man jumped from a the third floor of a Motel 6 and then ran across a major roadway to a Sheetz, where he continued to cause even more problems.

On Friday at around 6:30 p.m., Northern York County Regional Police were called to the Motel 6, on 323 Arsenal Road, for reports of a naked man causing a commotion, according to a release. Police say the man jumped from the third floor and landed on the windshield of a car parked at the motel.

After landing on the vehicle, the man ran across Route 30 to the Sheetz at 215 Arsenal Road, where he continued to cause more problems, according to police. The man went into the Sheetz, where police say they found items thrown about. Police say the man then proceeded to go into the parking lot and attempt to open the car door of a customer. The woman in the vehicle was locked in the car and screaming for help, when an off-duty law enforcement official ordered the man to the ground by gun point.

The official and two other citizens were able to subdue the man, according to the release.

The man was taken to York Hospital for injuries he had as a result of jumping from the balcony.
