Hanover Borough PD investigate attempted robbery

Hanover Borough Police are investigating an attempted robbery that happened Thursday night, according to a release.

Police say at around 10:30 p.m., a 21-year-old Hanover woman was walking in the area of George Street and Grant Drive when an unknown male approached her, and hit her in the face while attempting to grab her purse.

The woman was able to fend off the man, who left on foot and did not take anything from her. She had minor injuries and was treated at Hanover hospital.

The man is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s, around 5-foot-10 and weighing about 180 pounds, according to police. He was wearing blue jeans, sneakers, a black hood sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and a dark beanie. His sweatshirt had "JNCO" on the front of it. He was last seen running west on the 300 block of Grant Drive, according to police.
