Yorker charged in Delaware murder-for-hire plot
WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware officials said two Pennsylvania men were indicted in the 2013 death of a man who was killed in a murder-for-hire scheme.
The state Attorney General's Office announced Friday that Ryan Shover, 44, of York, Pa., and Michael Kman, 51, of Enola, Pa., were charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, insurance fraud and a weapons offense in the death of Wayne Cappelli.
Cappelli, 43, was last seen leaving the Super Fresh where he worked in January 2013 and his body was found a month later. Prosecutors said Cappelli obtained a large life insurance policy three months earlier, naming an acquaintance as the beneficiary.
The Attorney General's Office said Shover allegedly killed Cappelli, and Kman was an accomplice.
York Area Regional Police assisted in the investigation.
